Swansea City will host Blackburn Rovers this Saturday for a Remembrance Day fixture at their home stadium. The match will feature a solemn pre-match tribute and a charity shirt auction to support the Royal British Legion.
Second in the Championship with 23 points from 12 games, the Swans will pause before the 3pm kick-off for a moment of reflection. "Swansea City will be joining with the Royal British Legion to remember the fallen in a moment of reflection before kick-off," the club said. The tribute will include the Last Post, a period of silence, a poppy wreath laying by both managers, and Reveille. Players from both sides will wear poppy emblems on their shirts.
Charity initiative
Signed match shirts from the day will be auctioned on the MatchWornShirt website and app. "All of the net proceeds from these auctions will be allocated to the Royal British Legion," Swansea City confirmed. The initiative is part of the club's wider 'Jacks for Good' campaign, which will also be accepting donations of new, unused household essentials for the Cwtch Mawr multibank at a designated car outside the ticket office.
Squad and injury news
The match comes as Swansea aim to bounce back from a 5-0 defeat at QPR last Friday, a result that ended a run of three consecutive wins. Head coach Vitor Matos faces significant selection challenges. Wingers Ronald and Moussa Yeo are both sidelined with hamstring injuries, ruling them out for six to eight weeks and two to three weeks respectively. Ryoya Morishita and Mathias Jørgensen are also expected to miss out, while Adam Forshaw and Lewis Miller remain unavailable.
There is some positive news. Josh Key has resumed parts of team training as he recovers from a hamstring issue, though his availability for Saturday is unconfirmed. Yuki Ohashi and Yuri Ribeiro have returned to parts of training and could be considered for the bench, while Filip Lissah is available again after serving a one-match suspension. Todd Cantwell is available but is one booking away from a suspension.
Matchday logistics
A shuttle bus service, being trialled until the end of 2026, will operate from the Fabian Way Park and Ride and Wellington Street Bus stop approximately two hours before kick-off. The final bus will leave the Landore Park and Ride site one hour after full-time. Parking near the stadium is very limited, and supporters are strongly encouraged to use the shuttle or official parking options, avoiding residential areas and pavements.
The Foundry bar opens at 10am, with the matchday ticket office opening at the same time and relocating to The Foundry at 3pm before closing at 3.45pm. Standard stadium restrictions apply: no food, fizzy drinks, or alcohol are permitted inside, except for one 500ml sealed water bottle. Medical exemptions require pre-notification via email to the club's accessibility address. The final shuttle bus from Landore Park and Ride will depart one hour after the final whistle.
