Swansea City have launched a one-off Magic Daps Skills Challenge for supporters at Saturday's home game against Norwich City. The half-time competition, judged by club legend Lee Trundle on his 50th birthday, offers the winner two tickets to the LT10 Lounge for a future fixture.
The event is a three-part test of skill. Entrants must first throw the ball up and complete a shoulder roll, then freestyle their way around a cone, and finally score a penalty while pretending to tie a shoelace. "The winner will be chosen on skill, not speed," Swansea City said.
Celebrating a Swans icon
The event honours Trundle. The Liverpool-born forward joined the Swans from Wrexham and scored many goals over four seasons before a move to Bristol City. He later returned on loan and has served as a club ambassador for years. The club noted a generation of fans has spent decades trying to copy his tricks in parks and gardens.
To enter, participants must be over 18 and hold a valid ticket for the 12.30pm kick-off against Norwich. The fan engagement team will meet selected entrants before half-time ends. A handful of supporters will also receive matchday gifts from kit supplier Joma.
The game comes as Russell Martin's side sit top of the standings. They are unbeaten at home in the league this season and face a Norwich side currently 17th. Their next fixture after this weekend is a trip to face Middlesbrough, as seen on the full fixtures list. The winner of the Magic Daps Challenge will be Trundle's guest in the LT10 Lounge for a selected future home game.
