Swansea City midfielder Ethan Galbraith is attracting interest from Wrexham, sources have told WalesOnline. The Northern Irishman has seen his stock soar over the last few months following an impressive opening season in the Championship. Galbraith has already attracted Premier League interest, but it seems there are willing suitors in the second tier too. Welsh rivals Wrexham are understood to be monitoring his situation ahead of the summer window, with there currently no sign of a breakthrough in ongoing contract talks with the Swans. Swansea are keen to tie the former Manchester United man down to a new deal, despite Galbraith still having two years to run on his current contract. City also have the option of another 12 months, but having already tied down the likes of Zan Vipotnik and Josh Tymon to improved and extended deals, they are keen to further protect a player they consider one of their key assets. However, Swansea's opening offer was quickly rebuffed by Galbraith's camp, and is understood to have fallen well short of the club's other top earners. There was previously an expectation the Swans would try again, but a second offer hasn't materialised at this stage. Galbraith missed the final few weeks of the season following an injury at the end of March. However, he is currently away on international duty with Northern Ireland, despite head coach Vitor Matos' hopes the player would be given the summer off. "I think it doesn't make sense for [Galbraith to play in] the international break, but I leave that for the medical team and the medical team of the national team as well," the Swans boss said in April. "I think it's the best regarding the situation of the injury, but then it's something that they need to speak about and everyone decides what's the best in that case."
